Before the rise of the Sun and Moon, before the mighty kingdoms of Men, there were the Elves—the Firstborn of Ilúvatar, awakened beneath the starlit skies of Middle-earth. "Starlight" is our tribute to the birth of the Elves as told in The Silmarillion, J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic myth of creation, destiny, and the beauty of Arda’s earliest days.

The Inspiration Behind the Song

Long before the familiar events of The Lord of the Rings, the Elves were the first children of Eru Ilúvatar, awakening by the shores of Cuiviénen, bathed in the light of the stars. Guided by the Valar, shaped by fate, and caught in the grand conflict of Morgoth’s defiance, their story is one of wonder and sorrow, of beauty and tragedy.
